During the past few years, I have gained a new appreciation for the outdoors and nature. Since my move to the Pacific side, I have started going more and more on hikes and camping trips. Being in the middle of the great mountains and the amazing scenery that change with every movement of the wind, sort of brings out the hippie in me.
At the same time, having had a brush with the arts – graphics, painting, drawing, photography, whatever - I find myself surprisingly more and more engaged in a little of industrial design and interior design. During the past few years, I have redesigned our kitchen, living room and home office and have built a whole bunch of new furniture for around the house. Having a lot of carpentry experience from working with my dad, and learning a whole new bunch of skills from youtube I have managed to create some interesting and modern looking pieces of furniture.
Through this site, I hope to share some of my experiences. Whether it is some cool new design I found on a blog, an interesting hike I did or some cool piece of furniture I designed and created I want to share some of that and perhaps inspire somebody else out there. That said, if you visit the site often enough, don’t be surprised if you find a rant or two in the content too. Which ever of the content you read, I truly hope it creates some sort of spark in you and inspires you, even if it is just a little bit.
